Nitrous oxide - commonly known as laughing gas or nitrous, is a chemical compound, an oxide of nitrogen with the formula N ₂O. At elevated temperatures, nitrous oxide is a powerful oxidizer similar to molucalar oxygen. It is a colourless gas used by dentists as a sedative and anaesthetic agent. It is also used in the catering industry and is often found in silver, pressurised whipped cream chargers. This is a depressant drug, which slows down the body.
The numbers of young people using Nitrous dioxide are increasing every year.
